Town paints 3D crosswalk to slow down speeding cars

The fishing town of Ísafjörður, Iceland developed a creative new way to improve road safety, they painted a 3D illusion instead of a standard crosswalk.
The incredible optical illusion is designed specifically to be viewed from oncoming traffic. The zebra stripe crosswalk appears to float in mid air a foot above the pavement.
