Students Find Out That Teacher Has Cancer, And Their Touching Tribute Moves Her To Tears
When you get a life changing diagnosis, the first thing that you want to do is hold your loved ones. You want to know that everything will be OK and that you will have people by your side to help you through the difficult days.

When teacher, Adriana Lopez, was diagnosed with breast cancer it felt like her world was crashing down around her. But she needn’t worry about going through it alone, as it turned out that she had a bigger support system than she initially thought.
Knowing how much emotional turmoil the beloved teacher was going through, fellow staff member Ms Lisa suggested that they dedicate a song specially to her, to remind her what a strong and inspiring woman she is.
With an idea in mind, the leader of the school’s PS22 Chorus rewrote the lyrics to Martina McBride’s famous song, ‘I’m Gonna Love You Through It’, to make them applicable to Mrs Lopez.
They then arranged a special performance for Mrs Lopez, where the choir surprised her by serenading her with the emotional song to remind her that she is not alone while she goes through this hard time. Understandably, the touching song left Mrs Lopez in floods of tears.

The song perfectly reminds her how many lives she has touched as a teacher, and how you always have people who care about you, even sometimes in unlikely places.
