Ron Howard & Wife Celebrate 52nd Anniversary of 1st Date & Show Their Halloween House Decorations

Ron Howard and his wife of 47 years, Cheryl, celebrated the 52nd anniversary of their first date!
Ron showed off a rare photo of their house on Halloween and their colorful holiday decorations.
The “The Andy Griffith Show” actor shared a secret about his and Cheryl’s long-term marriage.

While most people celebrate their wedding anniversaries, Ron Howard and his wife, Cheryl, have recently celebrated the 52nd anniversary of their first date. Ron took to social media to mark the occasion.

Ron and Cheryl have built a beautiful life together and welcomed four children into their family. It all started with their first date 52 years ago when they were both in high school. They have since come a long way.

Ron and Cheryl met when they were both juniors at John Burroughs High School in California. Talking about what it was like after he met his future wife, Ron confirmed that even at a young age, he knew she was the one. He said:

“I met her, and there was never anybody else.”

November 1, 2022, was the anniversary of their first date. Ron posted a picture on Instagram of himself and Cheryl smiling at each other a month after their first date. He mentioned that he was showing off his Super8 camera in the photograph.

Ron then showed gratitude for the journey they have traveled together and the four children and six grandchildren they have helped bring into the world. He also said that they were still going on dates.

How Did Ron and Cheryl Celebrate Halloween This Year?
Before Ron shared the photo of himself and Cheryl as youngsters, he shared a photo of his home decorated for Halloween. The garden was bathed in blue light, and the decorations could be seen strewn about the front of the house.

While the house can be seen in the photo’s background, it is not known precisely where Ron and Cheryl live, as Ron has always tried to keep his life private. His home details have never been released.

However, it is known that he once owned a $27.5 million home. The home was located an hour outside of New York City and spanned 32 acres. It faces a lake, and Ron and Cheryl built it to be a paradise for children.

The property boasted a pool, a sports barn, a greenhouse, and an observatory. The property is also home to a screening room, where Ron would invite friends and family to watch any new movies of his.

The high price of the property when it was being sold was said to be helped by the fact that it was attached to a famous celebrity. It was mentioned that people would pay more to live in the home of someone well-known.

What Is The Secret Behind Their Long-Term Romance?
Many have asked Ron and Cheryl what the secret is to their long-term romance, and Ron has revealed that he believes it to be communication. When it comes to communication, Ron clarified:

“You have to learn to communicate and have difficult conversations in constructive ways.”

Ron also mentioned that Cheryl has been supportive of him from the moment they met. The couple has lived through many years together, and Cheryl has remained steadfast beside her husband.

Talking about their relationship, Ron has often pointed out that they have experienced many things together, and his wife has been there for him in every experience, whether good or bad. He said:

“She’s unbelievably supportive and always has been. Our compatibility has endured through all kinds of experiences.”
