650lb Man Complains That The Diet His Doctor Prescribed Has “Infringed On His Rights”

An obese man from Great Britain does not like the new calorie-restricted diet his doctors have put him on in order to save his life. The 32-year-old man, who is considered the fattest person in Britain, comes from Camberley, Surrey, and has been struggling to live a normal life for years since he has put on so much weight and cannot change his habits in order to lose it naturally.

Jason Holton has been stuck at home for the last seven years of his life. And he recently had a close brush with death back on June 4, 2022. He suffered a series of mini-strokes that put his life in jeopardy and could have killed him. He suffered from a suspected blood clot, a condition that is made worse by sedentary living and overeating.

Rescue teams struggled to get Holton to the Frimley Park Hospital because of his large frame. Their efforts took two hours before he made it to the emergency medical facility.

He needed to have a special ambulance pick him up because he didn’t fit in the regular one. His massive body weight has been putting undue stress on his internal organs, putting them at risk of failure if something goes wrong.

Holton maintained his body weight by consuming takeaway food like doner meat, chow mein, and French fries. He would wash down his massive meals with a liter and a half of orange juice and other unhealthy beverages.

He would also drink up to five cans of diet coke every day. The man was spending more than $50 per day on his food.

Back in October 2021, Holton made headlines when a crane was called to his home to get him out of his third-floor apartment. The operation took a total of seven hours and required the assistance of more than thirty firefighters. Structural engineers had also been called to the scene so they could reinforce the floor in case Holton’s massive body crashed through the floor.

Holton is now going to a nursing home outside of London, where he will be put on a restricted diet so he can lose weight and reach a healthy size. However, Holton claims he is being “tortured” and that his “human rights” are being violated since he no longer can eat as much food as he enjoys.

“I am on a drink restriction, and I keep trying to explain to them, ‘I’ve got my human rights, and I should be able to drink what I want to.’ But I’m not allowed,” he told The Sun. “I’m so down about it… I keep saying, ‘Why can’t you give me my drink back instead of making life difficult for me?’ I told them I’ll call the police because I’m constantly dehydrated.”

He added: “I knew I’d get really ill eventually, given my size, but I never expected it would happen to me now. It’s terrifying.”
